1. Application Controller
2. Overview
ChangeAnywhere is a currency conversion application that uses reference exchange rates published by the European Central Bank (ECB) and distributed via the Frankfurter service. Our goal is to let you quickly convert amounts between many currencies, even without an Internet connection.
This Privacy Policy describes what information is processed, under what conditions, and what your rights are.
3. User Account
ChangeAnywhere does not require you to create a user account. You can use the application immediately, without providing an email address, name, telephone number, or any other personal information.
4. Data Processed Locally
Amounts you enter, currencies you select, and favorite currency pairs you create are processed and stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to Da Silva Labs or used to build a user profile.
We do not collect, store, or share your conversions, entered amounts, or favorite currencies on our servers. This data remains on your device.
5. Exchange Rates and Internet Connection
When your device has an Internet connection, ChangeAnywhere retrieves the latest reference exchange rates from Frankfurter and may store them locally for offline use. In the absence of a connection, the application uses these cached rates to continue performing conversions.
This operation is entirely local: the stored rates remain on your device and are not transmitted to our servers or to third parties.
6. Advertising — Google AdMob
The Android version of ChangeAnywhere may display banner advertisements through Google AdMob to support the ongoing development of the application.
To deliver these advertisements, Google AdMob may automatically process certain limited technical information, such as the device advertising identifier (where permitted), device model, operating system version, information about advertisements displayed, and advertising performance data. These processing activities are carried out by Google in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
ChangeAnywhere does not sell your personal data and does not directly share it with advertisers.
7. Privacy Choices and Consent
Depending on your region and applicable requirements, Google AdMob may present you with a consent choice regarding advertising-related data processing when you first launch the Android application.
You can change your privacy choices at any time using the "Privacy choices" option available in ChangeAnywhere, or from your Android device privacy settings.
8. Location
ChangeAnywhere does not request access to your geographical location. The application does not collect, use, or share your GPS location for its main features.
9. Data Retention
Locally stored data, such as favorite currency pairs and cached exchange rates, remains on your device as long as necessary for the application to function. You can delete this data at any time by clearing the application data from your device settings.
10. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the application and the local data stored on your device. Exchange rates are retrieved through secure HTTPS connections from public reference sources.
11. Children
ChangeAnywhere is not specifically intended for children under the age of 13. Da Silva Labs does not knowingly seek to collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future, for example when the application, its services, or legal requirements change. The latest update date is shown at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page regularly for any changes.
